武汉热干面

Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles

热干面是武汉的传统小吃之一,以细长爽口、光滑滑润、香润味鲜为特色,与北京炸酱面、四川担担面、山西刀削面、两广伊府面并称为中国五大名面。经过历史的沉淀,热干面已不仅仅是一种食品,而更多的代表着一种城市文化,因为已经有“不吃热干面,就不算真正到过武汉”的说法。热干面俨然已成为武汉的一张亮丽城市名片。

Hot dry noodles is one of Wuhan’s traditional snacks, known for its smoothand palatable texture, pleasant sesame aroma, unique and delicious taste. It ranks as one of China's top five well-known noodles, together with the Beijing noodles with soybean paste, Sichuan noodles with peppery sauce, Shanxi sliced noodles, and Guangxi and Guangdong-based Yi mein. Withstanding the test of time, hot dry noodles is not only a kind of food but also an integral of the city’s culture. 襄阳霸王醉酒

Xiangyang Xiangyu the Conqueror Liquor

霸王醉是来自于湖北襄阳的一款“70度原浆,20年窖藏”的白酒。先后荣获“荆楚优品”、“湖北老字号”、“湖北名片”等称号,在业界享有“中国高度·世界品位”的美誉。2020年,霸王醉传统酿造技艺入选“湖北省非物质文化遗产”名录。

Originating from Xiangyang, Hubei, the Conqueror Liquor is a 20-year cellar liquor with 70% ABV. It has won several honorable titles such as "Superior Hubei Product", "Time-honored Brand in Hubei", and "Name Card for Hubei", and enjoys the reputation of "Peak of China and Taste of the World" in the industry. In 2020, its traditional liquor-making technique was included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Hubei.

霸王醉设计扎根荆楚文化。瓶身整体色调以楚文化象征性的“红黑”搭配,点缀金色,以“鼎”造型为器型创意来源,霸王脸谱抽象图形施于瓶身。

The design of the liquor is deeply rooted in Hubei culture. The liquor bottle as a whole is colored red and black (the symbolic colors of Hubei culture) with golden embellishment. The bottle’s shape was inspired by the Ding (an ancient cooking vessel with two loop handles and three or four legs), and the abstract graphics of facial makeup of the Conqueror Xiang Yu is painted on the bottle surface.

The hometown of Qu Yuan (one of the greatest poets of ancient China, about 340 BC - 278 BC) boasts the traditional cake-making technique to create this 27-layer short crust pastry. The shape of the cake resembles crab’s shells and its fillings are made of quality navel oranges from Zigui, Yichang, giving the cake a strong fruit fragrance and sweetness. The cake is a specialty pastry in the Three Gorges area.

As a Chinese geographical indication-protected product, the small flower mushrooms originate in Fangxian County, Shiyan City. The mushroom features a full and round shape, deep craquelure, delicate thick pulp, smooth tender taste, and strong aroma. They are commonly known as "King of Mountain Delicacies". In 2014, the Fangxian small flower mushrooms made their appearance in the second season of the gourmet show A Bite of China on CCTV, which created a nationwide frenzy over the small flower mushrooms and made them a reputed product.

According to records in theCompendium of Materia Medica,Science of Chinese Pharmacology, andPharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China, pueraria helps clear internal heat, dispel the effects of alcohol, and has a positive effect on the cardiac-cerebral vascular systems. Processed wild pueraria powder is delicate, natural, and healthy. Easily prepared by mixing with boiled water, the pueraria powder is served as a paste with a crystal-clear appearance, elegant aroma. 鄂州樊口武昌鱼

Fankou Wuchang Bream from Ezhou

武昌鱼别名为鳊鱼,早在1700多年前的三国时期,已享誉大江南北,历来受到文人雅士的高度评价,其中以湖北鄂州樊口产者尤为腴嫩味美,故有“ 樊口鳊鱼甲天下”之美称。毛主席的著名诗句“才饮长沙水,又食武昌鱼”的名句,更使“武昌鱼”蜚声中外。

The Wuchang bream, also known as parabramis pekinensis, has already enjoyed great prestige on both sides of Yangtze River since 1700 years ago during the Three Kingdoms Period and has always been spoken highly of by refined scholars. In particular, the Wuchang breams raised in Fankou County, Ezhou City, Hubei Province are known for their exceptionally plump and tender meat and delicious taste. As the saying goes, Fankou produces the best Wuchang bream in the world. The famous lines of a poem by Chairman Mao, "I have enjoyed the Wuchang bream shortly after drinking water from the Yangtze River", have made the bream well-known both at home and abroad.

Lichuan has a long history of growing tea leaves which can be dated back to the Tang Dynasty when the riverside area of the Yu River in Zhonglu County of Enshi was famous for producing tribute tea for the emperor. According to historical records, Lichuan has always been the main production area of Yihong congou black tea. To date, Lichuan Black tea boasts a history of more than 170 years and was approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China as a national geographical indication-protected product in 2017. 神农架百花蜜

Shennongjia Honey of Various Flowers

农架百花蜜产自北纬31度神奇神秘的神农架。百花蜜采用最原始的蜜蜂养殖方法,将梧桐木挖制的蜂桶放置高海拔1800米无人区森林的树洞或岩石上,吸引野生中华蜜蜂入住并产蜜。一年仅收割一次自然成熟蜜,采上千种名贵药材花也称为药蜜。

Shennongjia honey, made from a variety of flowers, originates in mysterious Shennongjia, located at 31 degrees, north latitude. The honey is produced following the most primitive local method in which bee partitions dug out of platane wood are placed in tree holes or on rocks in the uninhabited forest at an elevation of 1800 meters to attract wild bees to settle down and produce honey. Each year, only a single harvest is made of the naturally ripened honey which is also known as medical honey since people believe it contains the essence of a thousand natural herbs.
